The National Labour Commission (NLC) has secured a court order against the strike by the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG).
According to the Association, the industrial action is in line with the expiration of an October 31 deadline for the government to meet their demands.
This follows a notice served on October 23, 2024, over what CLOGSAG described as the prolonged delay in finalizing a salary structure for staff and implemented from January 1, 2025.
In a statement, CLOGSAG said despite multiple meetings since then, the government has yet to make a concrete offer.
But the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission fought back insisting CLOGSAG has yet to respond to the government offer on the new salary structure presented to the association.

In a November 7 application, the NLC told an Accra High Court prayed the court to place an interim injunction on the industrial action.
The court, after hearing the application, indicated that "the application is granted for 10 days and upon its expiration the Applicant will have to come back to court on notice."
