Former President, John Mahama has asked Ghanaian electorates to reject the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for what he describes as untold hardship facing Ghanaians.
According to the Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), instead of the NPP to govern in such a way that will lessen the economic burden in the country, it has rather resorted to corruption and acts that keep worsening the plight of the people.
Mr Mahama was speaking to a charged crowd at Teacher-Mante in the Ayensuano constituency of the Eastern Region.
"If you compare current living standards to our time, you will realize that NDC's era was far better than now," he said.
"A vote for Bawumia in this election means you are endorsing eight years of thievery, hardship, lies, and corruption," he warned.
"I know those who have benefitted from all these will endorse it. But I know the majority of the people are not happy and do not endorse that," he stated.
Mr. Mahama, in his statement, urged the electorates to reject the NPP by voting against them in the December, 7 elections.
"Just a few people are content with what is happening but I know the majority are not happy so it is time to send the elephant packing into the bush," he explained.
