The African Corporate Excellence and Personality Awards (ACEPA) has recognised the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Media Foundation, Raphael Godlove Ahenu, as one of the 100 Most Inspiring Entrepreneurs of 2024.
This accolade celebrates visionary leaders who have contributed significantly to their industries and communities, showcasing innovation, resilience, and leadership.
Mr Ahenu, who has been at the helm of the Sunyani-based Global Media Foundation since 2009, has been instrumental in transforming the media landscape through groundbreaking initiatives and a commitment to ethical journalism.
Under his leadership, the foundation expanded its reach, embraced digital transformation, and championed causes such as freedom of the press and media literacy.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Ahenu expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasised the importance of media in shaping public discourse and promoting transparency.

"This honour is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team at Global Media Foundation, and this recognition will motivate us to continue pushing boundaries and advocating truth and integrity in journalism.
We believe in the power of media to inform, educate, and inspire," he stated.
Some colleagues and industry leaders have lauded Mr Ahenu for his visionary approach and commitment to social responsibility.
A Veteran Journalist, Dr Leonard Victor Amengor, remarked, "Under Mr Ahenu's leadership, his organisation has not only thrived as a business but has also set a benchmark for ethical practices in the industry, and the dedication to using media as a force for good is truly inspiring”.

He said as Mr Ahenu continues to lead his organisation into the future, the recognition as one of the 100 Most Inspiring Entrepreneurs of 2024 will be a reminder of the impact that visionary leadership can have on industry and society.
The ACEPA awards are renowned for highlighting entrepreneurs who have not only achieved business success but also inspired change and fostered development in their respective fields.
This year's honorees were selected from a diverse pool of candidates across various industries, including technology, healthcare, finance, and media.
The awards ceremony brought together various groups of entrepreneurs and professionals from Ghana and Uganda, providing a platform for networking and sharing ideas.
