Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) will flourish if Dr Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, is elected as president on December 7.
Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP vice presidential candidate, who made the disclosure, said the NPP would establish an SME bank to support the activities of SMEs
According to him, the SME banks would give loans to businesses, thereby providing opportunities for these businesses to expand and be profitable.
Dr Prempeh, who is campaigning vigorously for votes for Dr Bawumia in the Ashanti Region was addressing the leadership of garages at the Suame Magazine in Kumasi.
Nicknamed ‘Napo’ in political circles, he announced that Dr Bawumia knows the significant contributions of SMEs to the effective growth of the country’s economy.
He also said a special fund for women to boost their businesses would be introduced by Dr Bawumia’s administration, thereby strengthening the economy.
In this regard, Napo entreated the citizenry, especially those operating SMEs and women, to vote massively for Dr Bawumia and all the NPP parliamentary candidates.
The NPP, Napo said, has proven beyond every reasonable doubt that they have the knowledge and the human resources to properly manage the country’s economy.
Touching on other national issues, Napo gladly announced that the introduction of the free Senior High School (SHS) policy has reduced reported cases of teenage pregnancy.
According to him, the NPP, notably Dr Bawumia is the best choice to lead the country into affluence, reiterating his appeal to the electorates to vote for the NPP leader.
