The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged to offer full support to former President John Dramani Mahama following the conclusion of the 2024 presidential elections.
Dr Bawumia made the statement during a press conference at his residence on Sunday, December 8.
He expressed his commitment to aiding Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in his efforts to lead the country, emphasising that the peaceful transition of power is crucial for the stability and progress of Ghana.
Dr Bawumia assured Mr Mahama that he would provide the necessary support to ensure a smooth and successful tenure.
The NPP’s vice-presidential candidate also called on all his supporters to respect the election results and to support the incoming administration.
He urged Ghanaians to prioritise unity and collaboration as the nation moves forward.
"I want to assure the people of Ghana and the former President now the president-elect of my full support," he said.
