The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Ghana’s President-Elect, John Dramani Mahama, on his recent electoral victory.
In a statement signed by its President, Kwabena Yeboah, SWAG described Mr Mahama’s victory as an opportunity for a new era of leadership in Ghana.
The association also expressed its readiness to collaborate with the President-Elect to advance the nation’s sports development agenda.
"President-Elect, H.E John Dramani Mahama demonstrated his commitment to the development and promotion of sports in our dear country by engaging major sports stakeholders, particularly the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), during pre-elections," the statement noted.
SWAG praised the peaceful nature of the elections and commended Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia for his gracious concession.
The association conveyed its best wishes to the President-Elect as he assumes the nation’s highest office, expressing hope that his leadership would bring prosperity, stability, and growth to Ghana.
