Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante scored his second goal of the 2024/25 Championship campaign as Coventry City defeated Bristol City.
The 26-year-old scored the only goal of the game over the weekend to ensure his side walked away with all three points.
The forward handed only his ninth league start as Coventry hosted Bristol in an attempt to get back to winning ways after four games without a win across all competitions.
The first half was a keenly contested game as the two teams pushed each other but failed to break the deadlock.
The return from recess saw Coventry up their game and take the encounter to the away side who had very little idea about how to stop the former.
The home side's breakthrough came in the 62nd minute when Thomas-Asante's right footed shot from a tight angle found it way to the top corner of the goalpost.
Thomas-Asante should have scored a second minutes later but his shot from outside the box went just wide of the post.
Frank Lampard's side then hold on to their lead to ensure a return to winning ways as they moved up to 14th on the league table.
With his goal as well, Thomas-Asante has now been involved in three goals in 26 games for the club.
