Labour, Jobs and Employment Minister-designate, Rashid Pelpuo has pledged to prioritise the full integration of the private sector into Ghana’s economy to drive sustainable growth and job creation.
He stressed that a strong partnership between the government and private enterprises is crucial for national development.
Speaking during his vetting before the Appointments Committee on Thursday, January 30, Mr Pelpuo underscored the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
He acknowledged the private sector as a key engine of growth and assured that policies would be put in place to foster collaboration.
“I will ensure that the private sector is fully integrated into our economy because it plays a crucial role in job creation and national development. We must create the right conditions for businesses to expand, innovate, and contribute effectively to economic growth,” he stated.
He further highlighted the need for strategic policies that support private enterprises, including access to financing, improved regulatory frameworks, and skills development for the workforce.
According to him, a well-integrated private sector will not only enhance employment opportunities but also boost Ghana’s overall economic resilience.
