The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has invited Premier League clubs for an emergency meeting to be held this Thursday, February 6, 2025
The meeting which is scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2025, is in response to the violent and fatal incidents that marred the match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko at Nsoatre over the weekend.
The incident led to the stabbing of one Kotoko fan identified as Francis Frimpong, popularly known as Pooley.

According to the Ghana FA, the meeting will "primarily focus on addressing security concerns and other related matters. Given the severity of the recent incidents, it's essential for the GFA leadership and Premier League clubs to come together and discuss ways to prevent such tragedies in the future."
Topics to be discussed include stadium safety, fan behavior, and emergency response protocols. The GFA has been working to improve the overall football experience in Ghana, and this meeting being a critical step in that process, it is expected that the clubs will respond with the needed urgency to this invitation.
