Minister-designate for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has assured the public that the government will intensify security at stadiums across the country.
This follows the tragic stabbing of an Asante Kotoko fan after a league match on matchday 19.
The incident, which occurred after a Ghana Premier League match in Nsoatre, led to the fan's death during their clash with Nsoatreman FC.
In response, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has placed all Premier League matches on hold as investigations continue.
Speaking on JoyNews' The Pulse, Kofi Adams condemned the act of violence.
He stressed that no one is above the law and that the police will thoroughly investigate and bring those responsible to justice.
Authorities have since invited the owner of the team linked to the incident.
Police investigation is also underway to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal attack.
