Ghanaian reggae artiste Ras Kuuku has opened up about the inspiration behind his upcoming EP.
He has cited President John Dramani Mahama's remarkable comeback as the driving force for his yet-to-be released project.
He said this in an interview on Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim, expressing his admiration for Mahama’s determination and hard work.
Ras Kuuku recalled how many people, including some prominent pastors, had written off Mahama’s chances of returning to power after leaving office in 2017.
“My next EP coming was inspired by JDM, whatever he went through and his journey inspired my EP,” he stated.
Describing Mahama’s eventual comeback as a remarkable turn, Ras Kuuku said the margin he won with, is even bigger than the total votes other candidate were able to pull.
“Looking at his position where people put him,l ike he will never come back. He was somebody nobody knew he would come bac but him coming back to win. The gab is even someone’s win,” he asserted.
The Ghanaian artiste drew parallels between JDM's journey and his own music career.
"I see that Ras Kuuku, your brand and whatever you're doing is not late, what's ahead is what's a lot," he noted.
Ras Kuuku's reveal underscores the power of hard work, patience and consistency advocating time as a storyteller of the future.
