Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications and spokesperson for President John Mahama, has assured citizens that the country remains safe and strong in terms of its security.
He made this statement after a cabinet briefing with the president on Thursday, during which the Defence Minister spoke about the country's strong security status.
"Ghana's security is strong; we are a safe country, and people are free to go about their normal activities without hindrance," he said at a press briefing after the cabinet meeting.
He further emphasised that the nation's security forces are well-equipped to address any potential threats, stating, "Whatever threats may arise, our security agencies have the capacity to deal with them, so Ghana has been declared safe."
This was the first cabinet meeting since President Mahama formed his government.
