A 29-year-old Nigerian, Joseph Chukumeka, was stripped naked and beaten after he was caught stealing designer clothes—along with their hangers—and toilet rolls from residents’ rooms at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.
According to information gathered by Adom News, residents had been experiencing theft cases daily but were unable to identify the culprits.
However, luck ran out for Joseph on Monday during one of his operations. Some neighbours heard unusual noises coming from a room and rushed to investigate.
Upon arrival, they found Joseph inside, despite no signs of forced entry on the doors or windows. It was later discovered that he had been using a master key to carry out the stealing.
As angry residents attempted to lynch him, he pleaded for forgiveness, claiming his actions were influenced by the devil.
He was later handed over to the police for further investigations and legal action.
