Ghanaian broadcaster Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey, popularly known as Abeiku Santana, has announced his appointment as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
Abeiku, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Ghanaian travel company, Kaya Tours Ghana Limited, published the announcement of his position on his Facebook page on Friday, February 28, 2025.
"Thank you, Your Excellency Mr President John Dramani Mahama. I am deeply honored and profoundly grateful for the trust and confidence you have placed in me by appointing me as the Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
This opportunity is a great privilege to serve You and the good people of Ghana under your visionary leadership. With deepest gratitude and respect. God bless our dear Nation," he wrote.
Santana was born in Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He started his basic education in Koforidua at Nana Kwaku Boateng Experimental School and he later attended Ghana National College, Cape Coast, for his Ordinary Level certificate. He then attended Ghana Senior High School, Koforidua for his Advanced level Certificate.
He holds master's degree in Tourism Management from the University of Cape Coast, a Post Graduate in Public Administration from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, and another master's degree at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS).
He is also an Associate in Legal Studies and Litigation from New York Paralegal School, and has an advance Certificate in Public Relations and Advertising from Ghana Institute of Journalism.
Abeiku Santana will be deputising Maame Efua Houadjeto who was appointed a few weeks ago as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
