The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) announced on Tuesday that it has begun investigations into the reported compromise of President Mahama’s X (formerly Twitter) account, @JDMahama.
The CSA stated that it would provide further updates as the investigation progressed.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, the CSA said it received a report on Monday, March 17, concerning the compromise of the X account.
The release noted that the compromised account had been used to promote a cryptocurrency called “Solana Africa.”
“We understand the public concern this incident has generated and are actively addressing the situation,” the CSA said.
It assured that the Authority was working closely with X and other relevant stakeholders to address this incident and to prevent future occurrences.
