President John Mahama has handed over two vehicles gifted to him to the state’s pool, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
The declaration was made on Monday, May 5, in line with his newly unveiled code of conduct for government appointees.
The vehicles were officially presented by Government Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu to Chief of Staff Julius Debrah.

Mr Ofosu said that when such gestures are received, "officials are required to hand them over to the state."
This move follows President Mahama’s pledge to lead a government that operates with honour and dignity, ensuring that all officials adhere to strict ethical standards.
Speaking at the launch of the code of conduct for appointees earlier today, the President stressed a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption, arrogance, and abuse of office.
The guidelines are designed to regulate the conduct of public officials, promote respectful engagement with citizens, and curb corrupt practices.
President Mahama warned that non-compliance would attract severe sanctions, including dismissal, as part of efforts to restore public trust in governance.
This latest action, donating the gifted cars, demonstrates what the government spokesperson sees as the administration’s determination to lead by example.
