This Sunday, May 11, 2025, marks the highly-anticipated premiere appearance of Joy Prime’s Big Chef Junior Season 4 contestants in the kitchen.
The episode promises to be a heartwarming start with a special Mother’s Day edition as all young chefs will executing the week’s challenge with their mothers. It will spotlight the unique bond between the young contestants and their mothers, as they team up to create culinary masterpieces that honor the foundational role of mothers in the home.
The young chefs will face the exciting challenge of the "mystery basket." Each team will receive a basket filled with unknown ingredients, and within 45 minutes, they must prepare and plate a dish that showcases their creativity and teamwork.
This twist tests their culinary skills and also their ability to collaborate under pressure—a fitting tribute to the nurturing and guiding presence of mothers.
The season features 12 talented contestants: Sasha, Monalisa, Serwaa, Hilda, Bubune, Raziela, Nicholle, Jaden, Rena, Marvin, Clifford, and Eliane. These young chefs have been selected from a competitive pool of over two hundred applicants nationwide, each bringing their unique flair and passion to the kitchen. Guiding them through the competition are esteemed judges Chef Rita Oko and Chef Kofi Agyekum, whose expertise and mentorship will be invaluable throughout the season.
With exciting challenges, emotional moments, and the joy of cooking, this season promises to be an inspiring journey for both the contestants and viewers alike.
