Atalanta secured a 2-1 win over AS Roma, thanks to a stunning goal from Ghana international Ibrahim Sulemana in a thrilling Italian Serie A encounter.
The Black Stars midfielder, who came on as a substitute in the 68th minute, scored his first goal for Atalanta just eight minutes later, sealing a crucial victory that guaranteed the Bergamo-based side participation in next season's UEFA Champions League.
Atalanta took an early lead through Ademola Lookman's strike in the 9th minute, but AS Roma equalized just before halftime courtesy of Bryan Cristante's goal.
However, Sulemana's decisive strike changed the game's course, as he pounced on a loose ball outside the Roma box and fired a precise, first-time shot into the net.
This win not only marked a significant milestone for Atalanta but also ended AS Roma's impressive 19-match unbeaten Serie A run.
