The Acting Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, has paid a courtesy call on Virginia Palmer, United States Ambassador to Ghana.
Mr Tameklo was accompanied by Deputy Chief Executives Dr Sheila Addo and Dr Dramani Bukari, as well as Kodwo Abbiw Jackson, Director of Administration and Insurance, and Mrs Genevieve Bissue, Head of Protocol and Logistics.
The visit, led by the newly appointed Chief Executive, sought to strengthen collaboration between the NPA and the US Embassy and to foster partnerships for the mutual benefit of Ghana and the United States.

During the meeting, Mr Tameklo highlighted the significance of deepening relations between Ghana and the USA, particularly in the downstream petroleum sector.
He cited Authentix, a US-based company providing fuel authentication services to the NPA, as a prime example of successful bilateral cooperation.
The fuel authentication programme plays a critical role in safeguarding petroleum product quality, preventing dilution and adulteration, and enhancing tax revenue recovery from fuel sales.
In response, Ambassador Virginia Palmer reaffirmed the US Embassy’s commitment to supporting Ghana in attracting American investments, strengthening its energy sector, and promoting bilateral cooperation.
The visit marked a key step towards deepening strategic partnerships and reinforcing Ghana’s role in the global petroleum industry.
