The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General William Agyapong, has received a delegation from Glock International at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp.
The delegation, led by Mr Kaaf Deku, Chief Executive Officer of Krane International, paid a courtesy call to extend their congratulations to the CDS on his recent promotion and to explore avenues for future collaboration.
During the meeting, discussions centred on strengthening ties between the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and Glock International, a global manufacturer of sidearms.

Mr Deku expressed Glock’s willingness to partner with the GAF in areas of mutual interest, especially in enhancing operational capability through modern equipment and training support.
In his remarks, Lieutenant General Agyapong acknowledged the visit and expressed appreciation for the goodwill gesture.

He also emphasised the Ghana Armed Forces' ongoing efforts to improve its operational readiness through strategic retooling.
“We are making deliberate efforts to retool and strengthen the capacity of the GAF. The possibility of partnering with Glock International will certainly be considered when the need arises,” he stated.

The visit concluded with a reaffirmation of mutual interest in maintaining dialogue and building a framework for potential cooperation.
Both parties expressed optimism about future engagements that would contribute to the professional development and effectiveness of Ghana’s military forces.
