The Ashanti Regional Education Directorate has launched a High Schools Music Fiesta at Prempeh College, under the theme 'Music Without Borders: United in Harmony'.
The event is expected to promote unity through music, foster inter-school collaboration, and provide an opportunity for talented students to showcase their creativity in a formal setting for all Senior High Schools, Senior High Technical Schools, and STEM schools in the region.
Performing schools at the launch included Prempeh College, Yaa Asantewaa Girls SHS, St Monica's SHS, Pentecost SHS, Kumasi Wesley Girls School, Kumasi Girls School, Asanteman SHS, Kumasi Academy, Ejisu Senior High Technical School, OKESS, and many more.

The Ashanti Regional Director of Education, Dr. William Kwame Amankra Appiah (Ed.D) emphasised in his speech that, "this initiative is targeted to unearth musical talents in students at the SHS level."
He stressed that, in this 21st century, we can't only rely on classroom work but to help train and inculcate a lot of things in them if we want them to be like us.

Dr. William Amankra Appiah also highlighted that, "culture is dying in our country and we can't just sit idle and overlook this situation, but definitely there will be inter-district competition that will involve activities like Ananse stories, Proverb Challenge and many others to help students in the basic schools this year."

He therefore declared the Music Fiesta officially launched.
Municipal Chief Executive for Kwadaso Municipal, Eric Assibey, also added that this amazing initiative is not just about a competition but about celebrating our heritage to promote our culture as we unearth talents.

He also unveiled that his Municipal Assembly will always support talent discovery platforms that will bring a positive impact.
