Former Right to Dream academy graduate, Mohammed Fuseini, believes the reason for not joining FC Nordsjaelland from the academy was because he was not 'good enough.'
Fuseini was among the loads of players who were at the Right to Dream academy after being scouted from all parts of the country.
Unlike the many who go on to represent FC Nordsjaelland after their time in the academy, Fuseini never had that luxury as his path took a different turn.
"I moved to Right to Dream when I was 10, and I was there for like nine years. Being at Right to Dream is not easy; you have to work hard. There are a lot of players, and you have to be really special to get to Nordsjaelland," he told Joy Sports.
"I don’t really know [how I didn’t make it to FC Nordsjaelland]. I think maybe I was not good enough, that’s why I didn’t move to Nordsjaelland.
"But whatever happened had to happen. Look at where I am now. I’m still grateful to have taken my own path."
Fuseini joined Sturm Graz after his departure from Right to Dream, going on to play for Randers in the Danish Super League before sealing a move to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League
