Ghana’s Farida Iddriss continues to shine on the international sports stage, proudly representing the nation and also women in global aquatic sports leadership.
Farida, who is a member of the World Aquatics Bureau since 2022, had the honour of presenting medals at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore.
She officiated the medal ceremony for the Men's Solo Artistic Swimming event, a moment she described on social media as a "privilege."

Her appearance on the podium at such a prestigious global event highlights the increasing visibility of African women in sports governance and leadership.
It also cements Ghana’s growing presence in international sporting bodies.
Farida holds a Master of Arts in Sport Ethics and Integrity from Swansea University and brings years of experience to the role.
She previously served as Administrative Manager at the Ghana Olympic Committee and also acted as a Technical Advisor for the African Games Accra 2023.
Farida continues to break boundaries and set an example for young Ghanaian women aspiring to lead beyond the field of play.
