Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric believes new signing Kamaldeen Sulemana is far from the finished product but has already shown glimpses of his potential.
The Ghana international joined the Serie A side earlier in July on a four-year deal, with an option to extend for an additional year.
Sulemana left Southampton for a fee that could rise to £18 million.
The 23-year-old reunites with Juric, who previously managed him at Southampton, and has already featured in a pre-season friendly against Atalanta’s U-23 team.
“Today, he showed some good things, acceleration and shots,” Juric told Atalanta media.
“In my opinion, he is a guy who needs to be developed. He is not a finished player, but he really wants to grow.”
Atalanta open their 2025/26 Serie A season with a home fixture against Pisa on August 24.
