Golden Royal Technologies, a major stakeholder in car tracking technologies and a key player in the transport sector, has joined the nation in mourning the eight individuals who perished in a tragic helicopter crash on August 6, 2025.
The company's CEO, Evans Omane-Boateng, issued a statement on August 13, 2025, extending heartfelt condolences to the President, the government, the bereaved families, and the entire nation.
The crash, which claimed the lives of eight national officials, including Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, occurred when a Ghana Air Force Harbin Z-9 helicopter crashed into a mountainside in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
The rest who perished were Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, NDC Vice Chairman Dr. Samuel Sarpong, former parliamentary candidate Samuel Aboagye, and three Ghana Air Force crew members: Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.

The victims were on a national assignment to attend an event about fighting illegal mining at the Obuasi Black Park when their helicopter went off the radar.
In the condolence message, Golden Royal Technologies expressed its solidarity, stating that the company's thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the loss.
"May the memories of your beloved bring you comfort and peace," the statement read, adding that the company hopes the families find strength in the support that surrounds them during this difficult time.
The CEO particularly extended his personal condolences, reinforcing the company's empathy for the national tragedy.
The government declared three days of national mourning following the incident, which has been described as a national tragedy.
