Former Vice President and 2024 NPP flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, arrived at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) headquarters in Accra today to officially file his nomination to contest in the party’s flagbearership race ahead of the Presidential Primaries.
He was accompanied by his wife, former Second Lady, Samira Bawumia.
Dr. Bawumia was met with rousing cheers from hundreds of enthusiastic party supporters and well-wishers, who thronged the headquarters clad in party colours, waving flags, and singing party anthems.
Also, accompanying Dr. Bawumia were several key former government and party officials, including Sammy Awuku, Henry Quartey, Ambrose Dery, and Francis Asenso-Boakye, all of whom have been strong allies of the Vice President.
