The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has opened a new office at Akyem Boadua in the Denkyembour District of the Eastern Region to improve access to road safety services.
DVLA Chief Executive Officer Julius Neequaye Kotey said the project aligns with President Mahama’s reset agenda.
He also announced the introduction of new vehicle number plates without registration years, urging the public to take note of the change.
Mr. Kotey reaffirmed the DVLA’s commitment to ensuring that drivers are properly licensed and vehicles remain roadworthy to enhance safety on Ghana’s roads.

Eastern Regional Minister Rita Akosua Adjei Awate praised the initiative as part of the government’s efforts to decentralize state institutions and bring essential services closer to the people.
