Chairman of the Ghana Football Association's Club Licensing Committee, Dr. Kwame Baah Nuakoh has questioned the association's commitment to the committee's work.
The Club Licensing Committee was set up by the GFA to vet the license application of clubs to ensure compliance with legal, administrative, finance, technical, medical and security requirements of the provisions of the GFA Statutes and the GFA Club Licensing Regulations before issuing licenses to clubs to fully partake in GFA sanctioned competitions.
However, that process appears to have been circumvented by the GFA itself, in an extra ordinary turn of events last season.
''I doubt the GFA takes club licensing seriously. No club was issued a license to play in the Ghana Premier League last season,'' he told Accra-based Sporty FM in an interview.
For five years, Dr. Kwame Baah Nuakoh has served as chairman of the committee and it appears his experience has not been a pleasant one.
The GFA is yet to respond to the allegations.
