Wa Power Sporting Club have confirmed the appointment of David Nyaaba as head coach ahead of the 2025/26 Division One League season.
Nyaaba arrives with a strong reputation, having guided Techiman Eleven Wonders back to the Ghana Premier League last season through tactical discipline and consistency.

After parting ways with Wonders at the end of the campaign, the coach was courted by several Division One sides, but Wa Power won the race for his signature.
The club’s hierarchy believes his appointment is a major step toward fulfilling their ambition of bringing Premier League football back to the Upper West Region, which has been without a top-flight representative since the sale of Wa All Stars over six years ago.
Wa Power SC are heading into their third season in the Division One League, having finished fourth and fifth in their last two campaigns.
Preparations for the new season began last month in Wa, with the squad set to continue pre-season in Techiman this week, where a series of friendly matches have been lined up.
The club will kick off their league campaign at home against Yapei FC, with Nyaaba tasked to deliver immediate impact and push for promotion.
