Charles Amissah-Koomson, architect and Projects Director of Multi-Build Limited, has been honoured with the Forty Under 40 Award in the Architecture, Design and Decor category.
The awards ceremony held in Accra on September 5, celebrates young leaders making remarkable contributions to their fields and to Ghana’s development.

Academic and Professional Journey
Mr. Amissah-Koomson’s path into architecture and construction is marked by a strong academic foundation and years of professional excellence. He pursued his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in architecture in KNUST.After graduation, he gained invaluable experience working with several architectural firms before joining Multi-Build Limited in 2014 and subsequently taking up leadership in 2018.
Charles also received a Master in Business Engineering in International Construction; Law and Practice from the University of Stuttgart in Germany where he developed a passion for construction law, sustainable design and practical construction solutions. He also enrolled in Zigurat Institute of Technology where he received a post graduate diploma in Sustainable Architecture and Construction. He is currently enrolled in a LLB course at the University of Professional Studies, Accra.
Charles is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK and founding member of the Institute of Sustainable Design and Construction Management, Ghana and the Architecture Alliance.
Career Achievements
Joining Multi-Build since 2014, Mr. Amissah-Koomson has spearheaded key projects such as retail centers nationwide for Scancom PLC (MTN Ghana) and donor funded projects such as nationwide construction of health facilities for the Ghana Health service which was initiated and financed by the UNICEF and the construction of corporate head office for the Ghana Enterprise Agency, each reflecting his philosophy that architecture must serve communities as much as it serves clients. His work integrates innovation, cost-effectiveness, and quality delivery, setting new benchmarks in Ghana’s construction industry.
In 2022, he was appointed as Contract Manager for the Greater Accra Resilient Infrastructure Development (GARID) project, a world bank financed project aimed at improving the flooding and sanitation infrastructure of the capital
Through Multi-Build Limited, he has established a reputation for blending modern design with local context, or championing green building practices, positioning the company as a trusted partner in delivering transformative spaces.

Speaking after receiving the award, Mr. Amissah-Koomson noted: “This honour belongs to my family, team, our clients, and everyone who shares in our vision of building beyond structures. Architecture is about creating experiences and shaping communities, and this recognition strengthens our resolve to keep pushing boundaries.”
