New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has paid tribute to Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, hailing the late industrialist as a trailblazer and one of Ghana’s foremost innovators.
Following Apostle Safo’s death on Thursday, September 11, 2025, Agyapong described the news as a personal loss, emphasising the Kristo Asafo founder’s remarkable vision, resilience, and pioneering spirit.
“I was deeply saddened by the passing of Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, a true titan of Ghanaian innovation. He was among the greatest industrial pioneers our nation has ever produced,” Agyapong stated.
He expressed regret that Ghana had not provided the strategic support necessary to take Kantanka’s inventions to the global stage.
Highlighting the late inventor’s enduring influence, Agyapong added, “His life’s work demonstrated that Ghanaians are fully capable of leading in science, technology, and industrial development. He shattered doubts about our ability to innovate and create a self-reliant nation.”
He concluded by urging future generations to draw inspiration from Kantanka’s legacy.
“His achievements are a guiding light for those committed to Ghana’s industrialisation. With determination and belief in ourselves, we can follow in his footsteps. May his revolutionary spirit continue to inspire us. Rest in eternal peace,” he affirmed.
