The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has suspended the license of NK Benark Enterprise, a licensed Tier 2 gold buying company, and ordered the immediate closure of all its trading outlets nationwide.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, GoldBod said the decision follows allegations linking the company to multiple gold-related offences.
The company’s sole proprietor, Bernard Nkrumah, has been arrested and is currently facing prosecution at the High Court.

GoldBod cautioned all licensed traders, miners, and the general public against conducting any gold transactions with NK Benark Enterprise.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to accountability and transparency in the gold trading sector, stressing that this action is part of broader efforts to strictly enforce industry regulations.
