Southey Contracting Ltd, an indigenous industrial engineering firm, has held its maiden vendor day in Takoradi to strengthen collaboration with supply chain partners and promote industry best practices.
The event, held on Thursday, 18th September 2025 brought together vendors including Mengen Ghana Limited, Eff-Ess Co. Ltd, and i-Neema Ghana Limited.
Discussions centred on aligning business standards in areas such as quality, health and safety, compliance, and sustainability.
Addressing participants, Mr Ishmael Amegah, General Manager of the Ensol Group, expressed appreciation to vendors for their participation and underscored the importance of indigenous partnerships.
He emphasised the need for regular engagements and training, particularly in health, safety, and sustainability, to build the capacity of local businesses.
The programme covered operational processes, service delivery, compliance requirements, health and safety protocols, procurement procedures, sustainability initiatives, and local content directives from the Petroleum Commission.
Some vendors commended the initiative, describing it as a pioneering move by an indigenous company.
They pledged to adopt the insights gained and welcomed plans for future engagements.
