The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Alhaji Baba Osman Daney as the Chairman of the U16 Boys Management Committee as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen youth football structures across the country.
Alhaji Baba Osman Daney, who currently serves as the President of newly promoted Division One League side Sankara Nationals FC, is also the Director of Finance at the National Youth Authority. His appointment reflects the GFA’s vision to blend administrative expertise with football development to nurture the next generation of Ghanaian footballers.
He will be supported by Gabriel Godwin Kwao as Vice Chairman. Kwao doubles as the Vice Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association, bringing extensive experience in grassroots football administration to the committee.
The committee also includes notable football administrators such as Masawudu Ahmed, Founder and President of newly promoted Division One League club Ebony FC; Kweku Sagoe, Head of Marketing at Nsuopon Fidelity FC, another newly promoted Division One League club; and Siaka Musah, President of Dormaa Unity FC.
The formation of this committee marks a significant step toward establishing a robust structure for talent identification, development, and management at the U16 level. The team’s mandate includes overseeing player scouting, technical development programs, and ensuring the smooth organization of competitions for the U16 Boys.
With this strong and diverse leadership in place, the GFA is confident that the U16 Boys program will serve as a key pillar for producing future stars for the Black Starlets and other national teams.
