Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia begins a two-day tour of the Central Region today, Monday, September 29, as part of his campaign for the January NPP primaries.
He is expected to meet constituency and regional executives across the region in this latest phase of his campaign.
Dr. Bawumia has already held similar engagements in the Ashanti and Eastern Regions, as he steps up efforts to lead the party into the 2028 elections.
In addition to these regional tours, the former Vice President has met with several party stakeholders, many of whom have declared their support for his candidature.
A significant number of MPs, former DCEs, parliamentary candidates, constituency executives, and grassroots groups have also openly endorsed him.
Several surveys have further predicted a decisive victory for Dr. Bawumia as he makes his second bid to lead the NPP.
