For two decades, Softcare FM Manufacturing Limited has been a game changer in Ghana’s household and personal care market. Its flagship product, Softcare sanitary pads, has become a household name, offering premium quality at prices 30–40% lower than imported brands, making it the top choice for millions of Ghanaian women and girls.
During a recent visit to the company, Members of Parliament’s Women’s Caucus, led by First Deputy Majority Whip Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe, and Gender Minister Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, endorsed Softcare sanitary pads after witnessing first-hand the rigorous production process and high standards behind the product.
Backed by Ghana Standards Authority certification and cutting-edge technology, the company’s factory now produces over 80 million packs of sanitary pads annually. With nearly 4,000 employees, 90% Ghanaian and 40% women, Softcare FM is meeting Ghana’s domestic demand while also exporting to more than 20 countries, including the Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Peru. These exports generate valuable foreign exchange for Ghana.

This unmatched capacity makes the company a strategic partner for the government’s Free Sanitary Pad Programme, which aims to support over two million schoolgirls nationwide. Softcare FM currently produces 23,000 packs daily and seven million packs monthly, positioning it to deliver consistent, large-scale supply while ensuring affordability and dignity for every girl.
Beyond production, Softcare FM has been a fully tax-compliant contributor to Ghana’s economy for 20 years. The company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives include donations to schools, hospitals, orphanages, and vulnerable communities, alongside livelihood support projects in remote areas.

Looking to the future, Softcare FM plans to expand its workforce to 6,000 within five years, boosting production further to meet rising global demand for its products, which also include diapers and washing powder.
Strategically located behind the West Hills Mall in Accra, the company remains open to partnerships, bulk supply arrangements, and nationwide distribution.
