The Black Queens resumed training on Monday, October 27, ahead of their game against Egypt on Tuesday.
Ghana face Egypt at the Accra Sports Stadium in the second leg of their 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Qualifier.
Monday’s training was the first the team has had since their return from Ismailia following the first leg last Thursday.
The team had boycotted any form of training since their arrival due to unpaid bonuses due them following their performance at the 2024 WAFCON in Morocco.
Joy Sports understands the players are owed $9500 each in bonuses for their medal-winning campaign in July after their return to the continental tournament.
However, following meetings with the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, and Alex Asante in the early hours of Monday, the team accepted to return to training after two days of no show.
All 24 players trained at the Accra Sports Stadium in the presence of Kurt Okraku and some of the GFA Executive Council members.
The Black Queens command a 3-0 first leg advantage after goals from Doris Boaduwaa, Mary Amponsah and Grace Amponsah against the Cleopatras in Egypt.
While the Queens have agreed to honour the game on Tuesday, they still continue to fight for their bonus.
The game against Egypt is scheduled to kickoff at 15:30 GMT.
