Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have prevented the total destruction of a five-bedroom, one-storey building at Mamprobi Sureway in Accra on Thursday, November 6.
According to the GNFS, fire crews from Dansoman, with reinforcements from Industrial Area, Circle, and the National Headquarters, battled intense flames that had engulfed the top floor of the structure.

The upper floor, which comprised three bedrooms, a hall, and a kitchen, together with all its contents, was completely destroyed.
However, the ground floor, consisting of two bedrooms and its contents, was successfully salvaged through the coordinated efforts of the responding teams.
The fire was reported at 10:13 a.m., and the first appliance arrived at 10:26 a.m. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control at 11:44 a.m. and fully extinguished it by 11:51 a.m., the GNFS said in a statement.

While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, the GNFS confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were recorded.
The GNFS commended the professionalism and teamwork of the responding crews, noting that their prompt intervention prevented the flames from spreading to nearby properties.
