The Parliament of Ghana, under the auspices of the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced that it will host the 9th Biennial Conference of the African Parliamentarians Against Corruption (APNAC) from 6th to 9th November 2025 at the Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, Accra.
According to a statement issued on Thursday, November 6, The four-day gathering will bring together parliamentarians, anti-corruption experts, civil society leaders, and key stakeholders from across the African continent to deliberate on strategies to combat corruption and promote transparency, accountability, and good governance.
Under the theme “Strengthening Accountability for Sustainable Development in Africa”, the conference seeks to foster continental collaboration and share best practices that enhance the legislative role in the fight against corruption.
It will also serve as a platform for innovative dialogue on policy reforms, institutional strengthening, and multi-sectoral partnerships aimed at entrenching integrity in governance.

The Speaker, Alban Bagbin, will deliver the keynote address during the official opening ceremony on Friday, 7th November 2025.
Parliament expressed pride in hosting the prestigious event, describing it as a reaffirmation of the country's and the legislature’s commitment to advancing integrity and ethical governance at both the national and continental levels.
Members of the media and the public have been invited to follow proceedings and lend their support to what the Parliament describes as an important initiative toward a corruption-free Africa.
