The Eastern North Regional Police Command has apprehended two individuals allegedly in possession of narcotics on November 13.
According to the police, suspects, identified as Yaw Ntoso and Perpetual Ayitey, were arrested at Amankwakrom along the main Agordeke–Donkorkrom motor road.
In a post shared on Facebook by the police, it said a snap check team intercepted a Kia Bongo truck driven by Ntoso.

During a thorough search, officers discovered three white sacks containing 135 compressed slabs of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis sativa, wrapped in yellowish cellotape.
In addition, 21 oval-shaped parcels of a similar substance were recovered from the vehicle.

The police noted that both Ntoso and Ayitey are currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations into the alleged narcotics. Authorities have confirmed that the suspects will be presented before the court in due course.
The Eastern North Regional Police Command has reiterated its commitment to combating drug trafficking and ensuring public safety in the region.
