Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu was named Man of the Match after an impressive display in AS Monaco’s 2-2 draw with Cyprus club Pafos in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
Despite conceding a late own goal that earned the hosts a point, Salisu topped the UEFA Technical Observer ratings following a commanding 90-minute performance.
The 26-year-old completed a game-high 54 passes and registered 14 key defensive actions as he marshalled the Monaco back line.

Monaco struck early through Takumi Minamino, who finished calmly after five minutes, but Pafos levelled 13 minutes later when former Chelsea defender David Luiz powered in a header from a corner.
The French side restored their advantage shortly after, with Folarin Balogun capitalising on a mistake from goalkeeper Neofytos Michail to slot home.
Pafos snatched a late equaliser when Ivan Sunjic’s effort struck the bar and deflected off Salisu into the net with two minutes left.
