Ghanaian artiste Lasmid has shared the type of music that shapes his creativity.
Speaking to Doreen Avio and Kwame Dadzie on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz on Monday, 8th December 2025, the Friday Night hit maker disclosed the kind of songs he listens to during his leisure moments.
“I listen to music a lot. Mostly, Muslim songs or Indian songs. It depends on the mood I am in, but mostly it is Muslim songs,” he said.
Asked why he gravitates toward those genres, he explained: “I like it, you won’t get. That feeling? Somebody go fit do some style bi. They have a unique progression.”
Lasmid has demonstrated similar melodic patterns in several of his works, including a verse on Kojo Blak’s latest song titled Balance.
Music used in Islamic worship and Indian compositions often features more micro tones than the usual diatonic scale used by many musicians across the world.
In the meantime, Lasmid has released a new single titled No Issues, which is already gaining significant attention.
