The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Abeiku Santana, has expressed appreciation to Nigerian artiste and entrepreneur Mr Eazi following his pledge to invest $2 million in the construction of a 3,000-capacity event centre in Accra.
The proposed project is expected to encompass both indoor and outdoor facilities to strengthen Ghana’s entertainment and events infrastructure.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Abeiku Santana welcomed the initiative and confirmed that initial engagements had already begun.
“We have reached out to Eazi, my brother, and we’re grateful to him for the call… watch out,” he wrote.
Mr Eazi announced the investment plan during his performance at the Detty Rave concert in Accra on December 28, 2025, where he appealed to the GTA to provide land for the project.
He underscored the need for well-structured and purpose-built venues to support large-scale events in Ghana and to further boost the country’s creative and entertainment industry.
The massive turnout at the Detty Rave festival highlighted the growing demand for quality event spaces in Accra, reinforcing calls for increased private-sector investment in entertainment infrastructure.
The proposed event centre is expected to enhance Ghana’s position as a leading destination for music, festivals, and cultural tourism in the sub-region.
