The December edition of the quarterly Leadership Lunch & Learn convened at Eve by Boz HQ, offering women leaders a platform for candid discussions on influence, resilience, and leadership in practice. Speaking at the event, convenor Abena N. Chrappah emphasised the transformative power of honest conversation:

“When women are given access to the right conversations and the right people, the impact is exponential. That was the intention behind this gathering.”

Organized by Social Influence, the series is designed to create unfiltered dialogue between established leaders and the next generation of women shaping industries in Ghana.

This final edition of 2025 brought together professionals from business, media, governance, culture, and the creative economy, including keynote speaker Bozoma Saint John, media executive Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong, entrepreneur Angela Carmen Appiah, and creative chef Maame Boakye.

In her keynote, Bozoma Saint John urged emerging leaders to embrace voice and presence early in their careers: “Whatever you’re doing at the beginning is how you’ll be at the end. If you’re not speaking up now, you won’t suddenly find your voice at the top. Influence isn’t given, it’s earned and taken.”

Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong reflected on the role of resilience in leadership, noting that experience grows through courage and confronting challenges: “We don’t gain experience just by the years we live. We gain experience by allowing ourselves to go through the fire – through the pain – and growing from it.”

The event also included speed mentoring sessions, enabling attendees to engage directly with speakers and translate insights into actionable guidance.

Beyond theory, the forum aimed to equip women with practical tools for navigating complex leadership paths.

As the year draws to a close, the Leadership Lunch & Learn reinforced the importance of intentional spaces where honest dialogue, mentorship, and community-building shape the leaders of tomorrow. Grounded in access and strengthened by meaningful conversation, the event highlighted that leadership is cultivated in rooms where voices are heard, questions are welcomed, and presence matters.

Participants left the gathering equipped not only with knowledge but also with networks and actionable strategies to advance their leadership journeys in the new year.
