Sista Afia has shot down claims of inviting Tracy Shay onto the stage during her recent All White Party event in Koforidua.
The his follows widespread social media discussions after the event.
Videos of Tracy Shay, a schoolgirl being mentored by singer Wendy Shay, surfaced online after the concert. The young girl, who is sometimes seen performing with Wendy Shay, appeared alone on stage at Sista Afia’s event, urging the audience to stand up and cheer her on.
While Wendy Shay has explained that she was not aware of Tracy Shay’s appearance and performance at the event, Sista Afia has also issued a statement on the matter.
In a press statement released on her social media handles on January 8, 2026, the musician distanced herself from the incident.
Read the statement below:
“My attention has been drawn to a number of social media stories, videos, and write-ups suggesting that I personally invited the young lady, Tracy Shay, onto the stage during my concert.
I wish to clearly state that I have no knowledge of how or when she got onto the stage, and I did not personally invite her to do so.
At this moment, my main focus is on the overall success of my 10th Anniversary Celebration in the music industry, which was a significant milestone for my career. I am currently holding a series of meetings with my management and team to review all aspects of the event. A detailed response on this matter will be issued at the appropriate time.
Once again, I sincerely thank my fans, supporters, colleagues, sponsors, and the general public for the immense love and support shown to me during this historic celebration. Your encouragement means everything to me.”
