The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has arrested six persons suspected of being part of a criminal network linked to robbery and gang rape incidents in Juaso, in the Ashanti Region.
The arrests followed an intelligence-led operation conducted on January 8, 2026. The suspects have been identified as David Adusah, popularly known as Vibes; Samuel Amantor, alias Road; Andrew Odei, also called Salinco; Sharif Mohammed, known as Isco; Joseph Addo, alias Moves; and Chidi Arinze, also referred to as Orga Happiness.
A search carried out at the suspects’ residences led to the recovery of several items, including 49 mobile phone covers, a bayonet holder, a green dress resembling a military uniform, and a photograph showing an alleged leader of the group dressed in military-style camouflage.
Police also retrieved and impounded a Toyota RAV4 vehicle, which is believed to have been used during the group’s operations.
According to the police, the suspects admitted their involvement in the reported crimes during interrogation.

On January 12, 2026, the suspects were put before the court and remanded into lawful custody. They are expected to reappear on January 28, 2026, as investigations continue.

The Ghana Police Service has assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that all persons found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
