Minority Leader of Parliament and Effutu MP, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has donated laptop computers to the Winneba Divisional Police Headquarters in the Central region to support the operational efficiency of the Police Service.
The donation forms part of the MP’s ongoing initiative to equip key security and public service institutions within the Effutu constituency.
It is intended to provide the Police with a more reliable system for receiving, processing, and storing information, ultimately enhancing crime prevention and law enforcement.

Presenting the laptops to the Divisional Commander, Afenyo-Markin reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening security in the area.
He also pledged to complete ongoing expansion works at the headquarters, noting that the contractor is expected to return to site soon.
He highlighted that an accommodation facility for police personnel is nearing completion and that construction of a new Divisional Police Headquarters at Gyangyanadze is at an advanced stage. Afenyo-Markin emphasised his readiness to continue supporting the Police to improve operational capacity and service delivery.
Receiving the items on behalf of the command, Divisional Commander ACP Ibrahim Opoku expressed gratitude for the MP’s sustained support and assured that the laptops would be used effectively.
He also reiterated the Police Service’s commitment to neutrality and professionalism in carrying out its duties.
