The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, James Gyakye Quayson (MP), on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, received the Executive Secretary of the National Peace Council, Dr. George Amoh, for discussions aimed at strengthening collaboration on peacebuilding and national cohesion.
The engagement focused on deepening cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Peace Council in the areas of conflict prevention, peace promotion, and the consolidation of social harmony across the country.

Mr Quayson commended the Council for its sustained efforts in promoting peace and unity at both the community and national levels.
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting initiatives that advance dialogue, stability, and sustainable peace.

Dr. Amoh, in turn, expressed appreciation for the Ministry’s continued partnership and support, stressing the importance of sustained engagement, joint programming, and regular consultations to enhance the impact of peacebuilding interventions.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening institutional collaboration, increasing public awareness of peace initiatives, and promoting a culture of peace nationwide.
