The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) has been announced as the Headline Sponsor for the Women of Valour London 2026 edition, scheduled for March 7, 2026.
The partnership, revealed on Wednesday, brings together two organisations committed to advancing women's leadership and economic inclusion across Africa and the global diaspora.
Award-winning journalist Nana Aba Anamoah, founder of Women of Valour, described the collaboration as more than just a sponsorship deal.

"Women of Valour was created to honour courage and amplify the voices that shape our societies. EBID's support goes beyond sponsorship. It represents a belief in women as drivers of development and progress, both on the continent and throughout the diaspora," she said.
EBID's involvement will support the platform's official theme of "courage, development, and the pursuit of fearlessness" as it convenes influential voices from media, business, public service, and civil society.
Dr George Agyekum Donkor, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of EBID, emphasised the Bank's commitment to gender equality.
"At EBID, we believe that empowering women is fundamental to sustainable development. Our partnership with Women of Valour is especially key in the current context as we prepare to obtain certification for the Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions," Dr. Donkor stated.
Women of Valour, held annually in celebration of International Women's Day, has grown from its Accra origins to international stages, spotlighting women whose stories of courage and resilience inspire generational change.
The official launch of Women of Valour London 2026 will take place on February 17, 2026, at the residence of the British High Commissioner to Ghana in Accra, marking the start of the global campaign ahead of the London gathering.
