The Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA), in partnership with the Ghana Bartenders’ Guild, Jack Daniel’s, and No.19 Restaurant and Bar, will on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, host the 2026 edition of the Bartenders Masterclass at No.19 Restaurant and Bar, Accra.
The masterclass forms part of the Ghana Beverage Awards’ broader commitment to capacity building and professional development within Ghana’s beverage and hospitality ecosystem.
It is designed to equip bartenders, mixology enthusiasts, and hospitality professionals with practical skills, industry insights, and exposure to global standards in modern bartending and beverage service.
Over the years, bartending has evolved beyond simply serving drinks to becoming a specialised craft that blends creativity, technical skill, customer experience, and brand storytelling.
This masterclass responds to that evolution by creating a structured learning environment where participants can deepen their expertise, refine their techniques, and better position themselves for career growth in an increasingly competitive industry.
The partnership with the Ghana Bartenders’ Guild reinforces a focus on professionalism and industry standards, while Jack Daniel’s brings a global brand perspective rooted in craftsmanship, heritage, and quality.
Hosting the session at No.19 Restaurant and Bar, one of Accra’s leading hospitality destinations, further underscores the masterclass's premium and experiential nature.
Participants can expect a hands-on learning experience covering key areas such as mixology techniques, bar etiquette, responsible service, brand knowledge, and emerging trends in the beverage industry.
Beyond skills acquisition, the masterclass also provides a valuable networking platform, allowing bartenders to connect with peers, mentors, and industry stakeholders.
According to the organisers, the masterclass is not only about improving individual skill sets but also about strengthening and promoting Ghana's heritage and the overall beverage value chain by investing in the people who serve as the direct interface between brands and consumers.
“This year’s masterclass seeks to promote the heritage of Ghana and also add value to the value chain within the beverage industries, in which the Bartenders play a very critical role. It is also to provide networking and mentoring opportunities for new entrants within the bartending space.”
The Bartenders Masterclass has, over time, become a key feature of the Ghana Beverage Awards calendar, reflecting the Awards’ recognition of bartenders as essential contributors to the beverage industry's success.
By creating opportunities for continuous learning and exposure, the initiative supports the development of a more professional, confident, and globally competitive bartending community.
This year’s masterclass is expected to attract a diverse group of participants from across the hospitality sector, including young professionals seeking to sharpen their craft and experienced bartenders looking to stay current with industry trends.
With strong partnerships, a practical learning focus, and an experiential setting, the upcoming Bartenders Masterclass promises to deliver both value and inspiration to participants, while reinforcing Ghana’s growing reputation as a hub for beverage excellence and hospitality innovation.
